Six models will parade the top shopping spots of the Welsh capital on Saturday (20 October) to mark the official launch of the first Cardiff Fashion Week.
The women will parade the city centre dressed in the official colours of Cardiff Fashion Week to celebrate all that’s good and great about the Cardiff shopping product.
The women will be chauffeur driven to the city and will parade along Queen Street, stop for coffee at Marks & Spencer; buy make up in Boots; try on shoes in John Lewis; watch the Redrow Cardiff Fashion Week home fashion makeover also in the store that day and browse the fabulous shops of St David’s before having lunch at Kapu on Mill Lane.
After lunch, they will head to Mermaid Quay, which is the official après fashion venue of the 2012 Cardiff Fashion Week. There they will visit a variety of retailers before finishing the afternoon with cocktails.
Clare Birt, director of Cardiff Fashion Week, said: “The model parade will create a great buzz in the city ahead of the first ever Cardiff Fashion Week. We’re here to celebrate the Cardiff retail product like never before. It’s going to be a fantastic party from start to finish for everyone who has an interest in fashion and beauty.”
